This society was founded in April 1988, and now has a membership of about two thousand lovers of the lyric and musical arts.
Through their positive attitude and interest, the Friends provide invaluable support for the creative and artistic work of La Monnaie.
The members of our society form part of a true circle of friends who regularly come into contact with one another at many different events and exchange ideas on music and opera in general. The aim of the Friends’ Society
The Friends also make an important financial contribution towards La Monnaie's projects. It is thanks to the steadily growing number of members and to the substantial donations made by supporting members and by members of the Friends' Circle, that the Friends' Society is able to make an annual contribution to La Monnaie. Membership of the La Monnaie Opera Friends' Society brings with it certain benefits
• members are allowed to buy season tickets and individual tickets one week before ticket sales officially commence.
• free attendance of dress rehearsals
• free attendance of lectures on La Monnaie productions and opera in general
• various guided visits and opera trips of one day or more are organised
• the chance to become a member of Fedora (European Federation of Friends of Opera), which makes it easy to reserve tickets at various European opera houses.
• you will have a discount, also at the La Monnaie Bookshop.
• all contributions of a minimum of 30 euro on top of the membership fee are tax deductible.
• La Monnaie Opera Friends' Society members are also entitled to copies of the Newsletter and the The Monnaie Magazine, and so are kept informed of all La Monnaie productions, as well as our activities and lectures. contacts
